ECG Payment Process

You can now make payments on the ECG app from your G-Money wallet. Here is how:

First, you must generate an ECG mandate on the G-Money USSD. Then you download the ECG App on Android’s Play Store or the IOS App Store.

1. GENERATE G-MONEY ECG MANDATE

• • • • • • • • • • Dial *422# and Select Option 2 (G-MONEY)
                  • Select Option 4 (Payment Service)
                  • Select Option 6 (Mandate)
                  • Select Option 1 (Create ECG Mandate)
                  • Enter 1 to create a Mandate
                  • Select either ‘Agree’ or ‘Disagree’ to create the mandate
                  • Enter PIN

Wait for an SMS notification with your Mandate ID.

2. ADD METER TYPE (New registrations)

• • • • • • • • • • Login to PowerApp (ECG)
                  • Select the meter (on the menu below)
                  • Select “Meter Type”
                  • Enter meter number
                  • Click to Verify

To purchase the credit/top-up, add your G-Money wallet as shown below.

3. ADD G-MONEY WALLET AS PAYMENT OPTION (New registrations)

• • • • • • • • • • Login to PowerApp (ECG)
                  • Select Meter
                  • Click “Buy Credit”
                  • Enter amount
                  • Click “Top up”
                  • Select “Add new mobile money wallet”
                  • Click “Select mobile money”
                  • Enter mobile wallet
                  • Select the mobile network (G-MONEY)
                  • Click “Save this wallet”
                  • Enter OTP sent to your mobile number

4. BUY CREDIT 

• • • • • • • • • • Select the meter (on the menu below)
                  • Buy credit
                  • Enter amount
                  • Click “Top up”
                  • Select G-Money wallet to pay
                  • Click “Confirm”
                  • Enter mandate ID to make payment
                  • Click “Continue”
                  • Click to confirm details “This is correct”
                  • Click “I have paid” to complete the transaction” or close to end the process
                  • Click “Check status” to view the token number
                  • Click View receipt to populate the transaction receipt” or “Done” (optional)
                  • Click to “download as PDF” (optional)

NB:- Please note that this process does not apply to ECG consumers who purchase their credit using the ECG card.
